Ranthambore – The Land of Tigers & Royal Heritage
Ranthambore, located in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan, is one of India’s most famous national parks and a paradise for wildlife lovers. Spread across 1,334 sq km, Ranthambore is renowned for its population of Royal Bengal Tigers, making it one of the best places in the world to spot these majestic predators in their natural habitat.
About Ranthambore National Park
Established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1955 and declared a Project Tiger reserve in 1973, Ranthambore became a national park in 1980.
The park is characterized by dry deciduous forests, rugged terrain, lakes, and ancient ruins, creating a unique blend of nature and history.
Apart from tigers, it is home to leopards, sloth bears, striped hyenas, marsh crocodiles, wild boars, jackals, and over 300 species of birds.
Safari Experience
Jeep Safari & Canter Safari are conducted twice daily (morning & afternoon) under the supervision of forest officials.
The park is divided into 10 zones, each offering a different experience of landscapes, lakes, and wildlife sightings.
Best time to visit: October to June.
Summer (April–June) – Higher chance of spotting tigers near water bodies.
Winter (October–March) – Pleasant weather, ideal for birdwatching.
